Mr. Dean has been in pharmacy practice for 34 years. He graduated with a BS Pharmacy degree in 1991 from the University of Iowa. Like many new pharmacy graduates, his career started in retail pharmacy. After practicing retail pharmacy for a few years, he then took a position working in the pharmaceutical industry, specifically, Eli Lilly and Company, promoting the launch of Eli Lilly’s blockbuster antipsychotic and antidepressant therapies. His work career also involved a clinical position in the Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) industry, as well, specifically, PCS Health Systems. While there, he worked directly with physicians promoting medication formulary compliance. Eventually, an ownership opportunity in a long term care (LTC) pharmacy presented itself. Through the years, that ownership grew to 5 pharmacies covering a service area of at least 12 states. Those pharmacies have all been sold. His current role at National Integrative Health is driven by the desire to always innovate and find ways to provide excellent pharmaceutical care at the best price.
