Professional Classical Homeopath

I was introduced to homeopathy in 1986 when I went to an allergy clinic out west. At the time I had very severe allergies to food, chemicals, dust, mold, cigarette smoke, new carpet odor, auto exhaust, perfumes—just about anything with a smell sent me into a reaction. And my reactions weren’t garden-variety allergy reactions such as rashes or a runny nose.

– Giorgio perfume made me pass out and when I came around, I would be sick in bed for at least four days with extreme fatigue.
– Cigarette smoke made me disoriented and uncoordinated (one time, while trying to leave a meeting where people were smoking outside the meeting room, my car was broadsided because my foot hit the gas pedal when I was trying to brake);
– When I ate foods made with wheat, I got severe joint pain;
– When exposed to auto exhaust, I coughed and wheezed violently;
– Ragweed season made me extremely tired;
– The dryer-sheet scent on the clothes worn by my children’s friends gave me a blinding headache;
– Day-old perfume on my sister-in-law’s clothing made me extremely irritable.

As you can see, my life was a huge and ongoing challenge, both for me and for my family and friends.

I had tried a number of conventional and alternative treatments and none of them had helped very much. My medical doctors told me there wasn’t anything they could do for me and that I should just “learn to live with” my health problems. At that time I had small children so learning to live with such severe allergies just wasn’t an option.

With the homeopathic treatments at this clinic my health improved so I wanted to know more. I bought two home care kits of remedies and several homeopathy books and started reading about homeopathy and treating my children’s bumps and bruises and colds.

I discovered I could help my children’s health improve with the remedies. And I also saw how rewarding it was to find the right remedy and see my child get better right before my eyes.

Pretty soon neighbors and friends asked me to help them and their children. But it was hard because I didn’t know enough to do more than treat minor ailments like colds and flu, earaches and upset tummies. And I only had access to the few remedies in my kits.

So I looked around for schools where I could study homeopathy but the only ones I found were on the West Coast. I wasn’t able to relocate so I put that idea aside and continued to read and study homeopathy on my own.

Then Northwestern Academy of Homeopathy opened up in Minneapolis. I joined the second class, set up my practice in 1999 and graduated in 2000.

I truly want to help people with chronic health problems, to pass on the gift of healing that I have been given. That is why I do so much teaching of homeopathy and natural healing in the community education programs, natural foods stores and other interested groups.

It is very rewarding to work with people, in many cases giving them back their lives by helping them improve their health.
